Introducing our Patchwork Peeps - Chicken Sponsorship!

Your $75 chicken sponsorship would include:

1. A Photo and Naming Rights to your chicken.

2. One Dozen Eggs available for pick- up monthly between April and October (7 Months/7 Dozen Eggs) and priority given to you for additional eggs for purchase when available.

3. Special Chicken Days at the farm. Come and visit your chicken, feed it some special treats, see and hear more about how we treat our animals.

Your yearly sponsorship dollars will go towards the continued care and love for our animals. Including, their food, bedding, vet bills, and other regular upkeep.

We currently have 15 chicken sponsorships available! Your sponsorship will end October 15th. Our program will be reviewed next winter and then can be renewed in 2024.

FAQ
1. Will I be getting eggs only from my chicken? No, most hens will lay 3-4 eggs a week (sometimes more, sometimes less providing the conditions). In order to provide you with the freshest eggs, your dozen of eggs will be from an assortment of hens.

2. Will there be a schedule for egg pick up?No. Just let me know when you want them and I will mark you down.

3. What happens if my chicken gets old? Hens tend to lay eggs best the first three years of their life, then their production declines. If we see the production declining of a hen, we will first, purchase more chicks so that our flock continues to thrive. Second, we will humanely butcher the hen that’s not providing for us (and likely provide bone broth and other sources of nutrition from our hen). I understand that might not be the answer you want and that’s why we’ll be creating a “elder sponsorship” along with our regular one. This would be an additional cost, as keeping a hen that is not laying eggs for us, would be an extra cost and care for us as well. We love and care for our animals, but we are also a business and we’ve got to do what makes the most sense for us.

Acts or fails to act in a way that constitutes criminal conduct. Recklessly fails to warn or guard against a dangerous condition that causes injury or damages to a participant. A dangerous condition is a condition that creates an imminent and substantial risk of injury or damages to a participant.
